Vacation Bible School (VBS) is right around the corner!
It begins on Mon., June 16 and ends on Friday, June 20th and runs from 6 - 8:30 pm each day. If you can help out this week, please check the VBS poster in the lobby to see where your talents can be utilized most effectively. Call Vicki Barr, the VBS Director, with any questions.
Blood Drive - June 25th:
On Wed., June 25th, between 2 - 8 pm, ValleyView will host a Red Cross Blood Drive in memory of Phillip Ritter. If you've never donated blood or regularly donate and don't know if you would be permitted to donate on this day, call Donna Hinkle for additional information. She will also set up your appointment.
To obtain more information on donor eligibility guidelines, check the Red Cross site.
Building Expansion Vote:
"God's Building with God's Resources
for God's Glory.
A vote was held on Sunday, May 4th to decide whether or not ValleyView would borrow the remaining funds needed to proceed with the church building project. A construction loan would bridge the gap between the congregational pledges set aside for the building project and the actual projected cost of the project. 86% of the ValleyView congregation approved the Governing Board's decision to borrow the remaining funds! Please continue to pray as the final design documents are completed in preparation for submission and approval to the various agencies necessary to proceed with the project. The general contractor believes we will be able to break ground in August.
May 17th - Men's Breakfast Scheduled:
The next Men's breakfast is scheduled for Sat., May 17th from 8 - 9 am at ValleyView. Come and join other men for food and fellowship.
Do you have "jobs" or chores that need done and could use a helping hand? Then, Rent-a-Kid!
If so, take advantage of the skills, talents and energy of our Youth who can help with various activities including: Yard clean up, raking leaves, enhancing your landscape with flowers, washing your car, pet sitting, house sitting, painting, mowing, weeding, etc. Just call the person, set up an appointment and make the arrangements. Our youthful helpers will welcome your donation for the work they do. Those partipating youth include:
Heather Habecker, Caleb Hertzler, Tijay Hildebrande, Matt Himes, Austin Jeffrey, Courtney & Tawney Lehman; Adam Lorenz, Jacob Miller, Jon Myer, James O'Handly, Devin Pullen, Summer Shores, Autumn & Levi Silbaugh, Tanner Swartz. Check the Sunday bulletin from 5/11 for contact numbers or call the church office.
Valley View's Library:
Do you know that VV has a "lending" library? Borrowing a book is easy. You don't have to sign anything. We just ask that you place it in the "Return Books Here" container when you bring it back instead of placing it back on the rack. It will be returned to it's proper place for you.

Second Service Seating Suggestion:
We give thanks to God for the increasing numbers of attendees at our 2nd service on Sundays. In light of this, we would like to suggest or remind you to try and seat yourself more "efficiently" to help those coming in after you to find an available aisle seat more easily. Please fill your pew to allow for available seating along the aisles to make it easier for visitors and/or those coming in a little later - once the service has already started - to find a seat, without having to disturb someone already seated.
If you can, you may want to consider trying the 8:00 am service for a change of pace, too! Junior church and the Nursery are also available at this time. Thank you for your cooperation and assistance.
